194/365

Name: Mallory
Three words to describe yourself: spunky, funny, sarcastic
Mallory was born in the Cobb County area but is from Hiram, Georgia. She says, "It was a small community . . . I liked it for the growing-up stage of my life, but not for my future." Mallory is studying Political Science at UGA and wants to go to law school. NYU is her number one choice, but she said she would not mind staying at UGA; GSU is her fallback. I asked Mallory why she wants to be a lawyer, and she said in the 9th grade, her literature class had debate and for one of the arguments, nobody in the classroom had a response. Mallory came up with a really good rebuttal and she said she loved the feeling. She is thinking of going into criminal law because she wants "to work with facts and evidence, fit the pieces together, and argue a case."  As a career goal, she would like to either partner in a firm or own a firm. Describing herself as a "very competitive person," Mallory's biggest fear in life is not being good at what she does. "To an extent, I'm a workaholic," Mallory says. When she was in 11th grade, she started a job at a burger place, and after working there for five months, Mallory became an Assistant Manager. As President of the Residence Hall Association (RHA), Mallory says that her favorite part about RHA is meeting the hall councils because she likes the people. If she could do anything in the world, Mallory would have a house that is spelled in the shape of her name. She says, "In the 'O', I'd have a pool!" She also wants to have a library with an oak desk and a ladder that goes around the room similar to the one in Beauty and the Beast. A random fact about Mallory is that she always sets her alarm with a '9' at the end, so if, for instance, she wants to wake up at 6:00 AM, Mallory sets the clock to 5:59. She says that 9 was her softball number and Mallory was born on the 29th of the 9th month (September) in 1990.
