Name: Luke
Three words to describe yourself: enthusiastic, athletic, thoughtful
Luke is from Grayson, Georgia and has lived there for the past ten years. Before then, his family lived in Lilburn. His grandfather emigrated from Canada during the '80s because he thought there would be better opportunities for himself as a medical doctor and Luke's dad followed to America shortly afterwards. Even though Luke still has family in Canada, he has never physically been to the country, so he is visiting this summer. One of his goals is to apply for dual citizenship. He has been to Europe, and his favorite countries that he has traveled to are a tie between Sweden and England. His great-grandparents emigrated from Sweden to America right before the Great Depression. At UGA, Luke wants to studying broadcast journalism because of his "love of sports," and he wants to become a sports broadcaster, with a dream to be on ESPN. If this does not work out, Luke would like to go to law school to become a sports agent. You can tell Luke loves Georgia sports because his favorite teams are the Falcons, Braves, and the Hawks. To gain more journalism experience, Luke is covering the UGA track team for the Red & Black newspaper. Luke also plays for the hockey team and he would like for the team to make it to National's sometime during his college years. He also lives by a quote his mom says: "There's trying, and doing."
