Name: Samantha
Three words to describe yourself: funny, straightforward, Haitian
Samantha was born in New York, and her parents came from Haiti at the age of 23. Her mom came to the U.S. through a nursing school program, while her dad came to the States "because he wanted to." She still has family in New York and Haiti and would like to eventually visit Haiti. At UGA, she is studying International Affairs but finds herself more interested in Anthropology; more specifically, gender roles and the way people think and perceive. Samantha would like to do field work in Anthropology, but "the money" is stopping her. Instead, Samantha wants to become a lawyer. Her "goal for life" is to keep H.O.P.E., and a random fact about Samantha is that she is double-jointed in her thumbs.
