199/365

Name: Tom
Three words to describe yourself: funny, creative, jackhammer
Tom was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia but then moved to South Carolina. After a few years, he then moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia at the age of six. He said that he went to a small private school of 30 kids. "We were like a family," Tom says. At UGA, Tom wants to study marketing because his dad started out as a salesman and is now the director of sales training, which sparked Tom's interests in the field. Because he has not been accepted into the business school, however, Tom has not taken any introductory classes, so he says, "I still don't really know what marketing is." As 5th generation Irish, Tom wants to sttudy abroad in Ireland and he is also minoring in Spanish. For bucket-list-things, Tom wants to travel to exotic places, go skydiving, hang gliding, and cave diving. For traveling, Tom has been to New Zealand before and he went with his dad on his business trip. "We did so much! . . . climbed mountains . . . went spelunking . . . there were glow worms inside of the caves!" He has also been to England and France, and he wants to go to Australia because "it's like New Zealand but bigger and deadlier," he says. Tom plays the acoustic and electric guitar, and in high school, he used to play baseball and is trying out for the club team next semester.
