Name: David
Three words to describe yourself: adventurous, dissatisfied, willing
David was born in Beaumont, Texas and lived there until the age of 17 then he "got the hell out of dodge" and went to college in Tulsa, Oklahoma to study Telecommunications and Advertising. After graduating, he moved to New York City and lived there for four years as an aspiring actor. David said that he started getting work after five months of living in New York. His first job was on a soap opera called Doctors that was on NBC. His fifth year was split between living in New York City and Los Angeles for Pilot Season. David decided to permanently move to Los Angeles and lived there for the next 23 years. For the first ten years, David was a full time actor working and nor working. When he met Louise Hay, David became involved in visionary and New Thought music. During this time, David was taking New Thought classes, but not necessarily to become a minister. He said, "I was taking classes for me . . . and it just sort of evolved from there." The next step after taking classes was to become a minister, so David traveled to different centers as a guest speaker and a musician. Afterwards, David started a church in Mobile, Alabama and had the church for four years. David used to take groups of people on "sacred site journeys" to places like Machu Picchu or the Great Wall of China. One time he went to Angkor Wat, which is the largest Hindu temple in the world in Cambodia and David said, "I had a life changing experience and I decided to devote myself to the people." Since then, he has been going back to Cambodia every year for the past nine years and raises money for his school in Cambodia. David planned on living full time in Cambodia, but he received a call from Atlanta to see if he was interested in becoming their minister, so he took the offer. Currently, David has a couple of books that are in the process of being finished, and this August, he will be apart of a conference in Geneva, Switzerland. For the future, David would like to do more global events and he also says, "Never underestimate what you're capable of doing."
