Name: Maria
Three words to describe yourself: semi-intelligent, ambitious, sometimes-lazy
Maria was born in Panama City, Panama because her father was stationed there, and her mom was able to make her a Panama citizen. She doesn't remember living in Panama because she moved back to the U.S. when she was one. Did I mention that Maria also has a twin sister that lives on my hall? Well she does, and they're both cool people. Maria goes to Georgia State University, not UGA, so she is separated from her twin. She said "it's cool" now that they're distanced, but when meeting people, she does not get that initial reaction of "oh wow you're twins!" I asked if they had any weird twin things going, and Maria said they had their own language as children and that they "could tell how the other one was thinking". She likes being in Atlanta because of the atmosphere and is studying Neuroscience/Pre-Med. In high school, Maria was interested in psychology, so she thought about counseling or a psychologist as potential career paths. She looked into neuroscience, but GSU did not offer it as a major. Three weeks before school started, however, the school emailed her saying they would offer it. Maria also has a bucket list, and some things she would like to cross off include: visit the black beach in Costa Rica, visit Panama, and bungee-jump off of the highest cliff in New Zealand. She also loves to cook and has invented her own dish of seasoned fish with a tomato gravy sauce with a poached egg on top!
