78/365

Name: Wally
Three words to describe yourself: sensitive, caring, stubborn
Wally is a co-worker of mine and she is from Virginia. At the age of seventeen, she moved to Richmond to live with her sister and work at the Richmond Times Dispatch as a newspaper layout designer. Her first marriage was to a math teacher and they moved to Florida because of the weather and "when you're a teacher, you can find work anywhere." They were married for thirteen years, and then Wally married a police officer. She says, "I like the men in uniform I guess." They had a business building fishing towers and they built a house in the North Georgia mountains. Years later, her husband got sick and past away, but now she lives with her sister in Woodstock. Her ultimate dream is to have a boat in the Caribbean where she can go snorkeling, diving, and gambling, which is why she plays the lottery every weekend. Jamaica is Wally's favorite place that she has traveled to because "the people are so friendly and the water is beautiful . . . and you ate fresh fish right off the boat." Wally claims she "was a fish in another life."
