Three words to describe yourself: kind, outgoing, spontaneous
Mehak was born in Karachi, Pakistan, but moved to Miami at six months of age. Her dad came to the States for college, but when he got married in Pakistan, It didn't work out, so they moved to the States. At age eight, her family moved to Kennesaw because her "dad had a better job opportunity . . . and it was a better place to raise kids". When I asked what she liked/didn't like about living in Kennesaw, she said, "I don't hate living in Kennesaw, but I like the people that live here". Mehak would eventually like to go to med school and become a radiologist. She has "always wanted to be a doctor or a pediatrician, but it didn't seem practical . . . it takes twelve years to finish school . . . and being Desi, I'll probably get married in the middle. Radiology seemed cool . . . and it takes four to five years less to finish school." Most of her family lives in Pakistan, so Mehak does get to visit. The biggest culture shock for her when she goes to Pakistan is that "women are not very independent in Pakistan . . . most women don't drive or have a job . . . they don't even grow grocery shopping, unless they can walk there . . . and the amount of child labor there is pretty bad". Mehak also likes playing sports for fun, running, reading, and writing. The Harry Potter books are naturally her favorite to read!
