90/365

Name: Gus
Three words to describe yourself: persistent, reflective, open-minded
Gus was born in Sanibel Island, Florida and even though he only lived there for three years, he recalls riding in the seat on his mom's bike around the island and visiting the beaches. His family moved to Alabama, and Gus said he didn't want to talk about living there. After Alabama, the family lived in Kentucky for six years, and then moved to Georgia. Gus is studying Biological Engineering at UGA because "it's a broad field," and he's "more interested in producing medical equipment" as opposed to being an actual doctor. He says he "can't handle the blood and guts." For life goals Gus said, “I’m going to go where the work is . . .I want to do whatever it takes to make me happy . . . go with the flow.” Since the age of six, Gus has been playing the violin and says, "It's introduced me to most of my friends . . . and I've learned a lot; more than just music, but I would not make a career out of it though." Gus's favorite place that he has traveled to is Costa Rica because "the culture was so different," and he liked meeting people who couldn't speak very good English, while he wasn't fluent in Spanish. His favorite animal is an elephant because they have a good sense of memory and have other human qualities, and the best Christmas present Gus received this year is an iPad.
