37/365

Name: Ashley
Three words to describe yourself: scholarly, eccentric, curious
Ashley was born in Fayetteville, but her family downsized and moved to Peachtree City (and yes she owns a golf cart). She says that Peachtree City is "very sheltered" and "people say nothing ever happens there". Peachtree City is "kind of like the Twilight Zone . . . it's too idealistic . . . it makes you forget about all of the problems in the world".  She is studying history and anthropology and wants to be an archaeologist because it is "something [she's] always wanted to do since [she] was a kid". Ashley's favorite thing about being college is "the freedom" and you get to schedule your own time. The worst part is "adjusting to being here and being away from friends". Her favorite place that she's ever traveled to was a beach in Naples, FL, but she "wants to go everywhere". Ashley loves 19th Century British Literature and Oscar Wilde is her favorite author. She is also a Harry Potter fan and says she's "just a nerd in general". Friends and family are equally important to Ashley and she met all of her really close friends through a girl she met in middle school drama club. Ashley is involved in LGBTQ and cares about gay rights: "I feel like it's silly to deny people of their rights . . . people make too big a deal about it when it's not their business".
