Name: Brian
Three words to describe yourself: creative, kind, cool
Brian is from Norcross, GA and has lived there his whole like. He likes it because he "grew up there and [knows] a lot of people" and a lot of his friends from school came to the University. He is 75 percent Chinese and 25 percent Vietnamese. Both of his parents were born in Vietnam and moved to the U.S. when Vietnam turned Communist. They met in high school and were much older than the other students because they did not know English very well. Brian grew up speaking Chinese and Vietnamese but lost both of these languages when he learned English. He would like to be an animator and "make [his] own cartoon", and this inspiration came from his 7th grade teacher who taught his math enrichment class. Brian wants a job that he's happy with but also something he can support himself with. His life is the most important thing to him because "you can do whatever you want with it and shape it how you'd like . . . you only have one life". One day, he would like to visit Vietnam, Korea, Japan, and China, but he also wants to go to countries in Europe and California. Brian likes to draw, and write poetry and stories. He is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and loves it more than playing tennis or swimming because he can "just be [him]self".
