60/365

Name: Jacob
Three words to describe yourself: thoughtful, environmentally conscious, music, humanitarian
Jacob's dad was in the military when he was younger, so he moved the U.S. when he was young. He was born in Charleston, SC, but moved to Louisiana, and then to Fairfield, CA. At the age of six, his family moved to Blairsville, GA because his grandparents lived there. Blairsville is in Southern Appalachia, so Jacob enjoys going hiking, backpacking, and mountain bike riding. The longest hike he has been on was for four days. In his life, Jacob would like to "revolutionize the energy market by promoting green energy". His family recycles and he listened to Jane Goodall give a lecture at Young Harris College which "sparked [his] interests". He has been playing the acoustic guitar for seven years and played trumpet in high school. Also, Jacob keeps a goal list in his dorm room and shared some of his goals with me. He would like to hike the entire Appalachian Trail, visit Poland, and become fluent in German. His great-grandpa lived in Germany during Pre-WW2 and moved to America because he did not want to be a part of the Nazi movement, so Jacob wants to visit the area where his family came from.
