46/365

Name: Phillip
Three words to describe yourself: God-fearing, persistent, spontaneous
Phillip is and international student from Kingston, Jamaica and is studying Computer Information Systems at Chattahoochee Tech in Atlanta, GA. He is on a track and field scholarship and has been running since he was in primary school. Eventually, he would like to run for Jamaica in a national competition "just to have that 'Jamaica' across [his] chest". Though traveling is not his passion, Phillip would like to become a commercial airline pilot and it has been his passion since he was ten. He enjoyed living in Jamaica because it was "fun" and he likes the music, sports and food. "Jamaica is one of the most unique and authentic cultures--no offense to others!". As far as Jamaican food goes, Phillip likes the combination of dumplings, curry chicken, bananas, yams, and potatoes. Phillip lives in Mid-town Atlanta, which is known for being a relatively gay-friendly area in Atlanta. In Jamaica, the citizens are more homophobic, so it was a big culture shock to see how people are more accepting in the United States.
