44/365

Name: Brooks
Three words to describe yourself: introspective, energetic, funny
Brooks was born in Mobil, AL and lived there for the first three years of his life until his dad got another job with a consulting firm in Peachtree City, GA. He enjoyed growing up in Peachtree City because it "was a good environment to be raised in" and the town is "close knit but without the feeling of a small town". "There's not much to do, but everyone says that about their hometown". In his life, Brooks would like to graduate college and he has a few ideas about career paths. Firstly, he would like to write in some capacity because he enjoyed journalism in high school. He is a master procrastinator and writes all of his articles at the last minute. His article about the Westboro Baptist Church one a few awards, and as soon as he gives me the link, I can post the article. Secondly, he would like to potentially work with policy studies or economics and have a job that allows him to travel. Two years ago, Brooks went to Brazil with a church group and really liked it because he studied Spanish in high school for three years, and he thought hearing Portuguese in Brazil was very similar to Spanish. He "enjoyed the fellowship with people and sharing a common bond even though they were thousands of miles away". He would like to travel to New Zealand, Argentina, and Spain and is visiting London and France within the next few weeks. Throughout high school, Brooks played the guitar and drums with friends. Some of his favorite bands/artists include: Foo Fighters, Jeff Buckley, Avett Brothers, Outkast, The Roots, Led Zepplin, and Radiohead, and he loves going to concerts with good friends. The most spontaneous thing Brooks has done was go sledding with friends on a golf course in Peachtree City, who were almost completely naked, wearing nothing but trash bags. They all ended up getting sick.
