Three words to describe yourself: fun, happy, serious
Sandra grew up in Victoria, Texas and attended Abalene Christian University. There, she played professional basketball and was a coach. Sandra is 60 years old and she says, "I don't mind telling people; so many of my friends are dying." Currently she works at the Texas Science and History Museum in Corpus Christi, Texas as a tour guide. "When people come here to learn" is her favorite part about working at the Museum and she loves learning about everything. She was a history and English teacher and says that everyone in her family is a teacher, so it was natural of her to have education as a career. Sandra's twin brother is a principal and her younger sister is a retired teacher. She also teaches driver's education and has been to Europe several times. This summer she is going on a cruise to the Dominican Republic and she frequently travels to the Bahamas "because it's cheap." I asked her if she had any other aspirations and she said, "Only thing left would be to meet the right guy . . . my other half." Sandra also says, "For some reason God wants me here [in Corpus Christi] . . .we don't know what the future holds."
