Name: Cameron
Three words to describe yourself: smart, friendly, loyal
Cameron is from Elberton, Georgia and describes the town as "very small, not a lot of employment opportunities." His favorite thing about coming to college has been getting to know people as he says, "I'm from a small town. It's a lot less constricted here . . . not to mention better restaurants." At UGA, he istudying history and anthropology with an emphasis on archaeology, and he says, "I've always liked history . . . archaeology fills in gaps of history, like records." Cameron mentions that while people were reading Harry Potter, he was reading about history. Although Cameron tends to like learning about older civilizations, he says "everything is interesting!" After graduating, Cameron would like to work in Cultural Resource Management to gain experience by working for a few years. Because I did not know what this job was, Cameron explained that developers call them to make sure nothing is destroyed before a construction project. Afterwards, Cameron would like to go to graduate school and then eventually do international excavation in Europe or Central America. He has been on a study abroad program in Austria and wants to go to England, Australia, Japan and South Korea because "there's a lot of history there." An achievement Cameron "still likes to brag about" is being 4th place in the State Geography Bee.
