Name: Justin
Three words to describe yourself: I love Jesus
Justin is from Dublin, Georgia and describes it as a "pretty regular, small town, in Georgia." He said that "the town across the river host's The Redneck Games." Before Dublin, he lived in Waycross but spent his early years in Columbus, Georgia. At UGA, Justin is Pre-Journalism and he wants to work at a newspaper. "I'm good at writing. I like current events. I'm fed up with news media, especially televised media . . . I feel like I can do better, as pretentious as that sounds," he says. In high school, Justin was an intern for a newspaper, who went around interviewing people and taking pictures. He says that his goals in life are pretty simple: "I just want to give more back to people, and positively affect people as many people as I can." After college, Justin would like to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. Justin is also an eagle scout and his project was to collect tents and fundraise money for workers in Haiti who were affected by the 2010 earthquake. Justin said that he collected enough tents "to shelter maybe 400 people." Justin and his dad drove to Miami in a church van and gave the tents through an organization. On campus, Justin is a part of Wesley ministry, and when he was in 8th grade, Justin got his front tooth knocked out from a frisbee. After this, Justin was afraid of frisbees for awhile.
