Name: Robin
Three words to describe yourself: free-spirited, Jesus-freak, friendly
Robin is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and she moved to Athens about three years ago. When she was little, her dad used to take her family to watch the football games in Athens. Also, her dad and grandfather both went to UGA and her grandmother was a cheerleader. Robin enjoys Athens because "college students make Athens so lively, not because they're staggering drunk on Friday nights," and "I like the atmosphere . . . the people," she says. At first, Robin was working at an apartment complex in Athens, but when the owner died, she lost her job. Robin has been homeless for about seven months and is still looking for work. Every Wednesday, she attends the Wesley prayer service on the UGA campus in the Tate Center. She also says that parking meters have stopped people from coming to downtown Athens and she talked for a while about Dr. Fred of Fred's Historic Properties. Robin says that the company is known for faulty repairs and there have been several instances of things missing from apartments. "College students need to look out," she says.
